About Threads for Claude
Threads for Claude is an independent service that connects your Threads account to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, you can ask the assistant to draft and publish posts, carousels and multi-part threads, reply to and moderate conversations, search public posts and read your post and account insights, without leaving the chat.
How it works
The service is a remote MCP server. You add its URL as a connector in Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT, then sign in with Threads and approve the connection in your browser. The assistant uses standard OAuth 2.1 to get access, so it never sees your Threads password, and each person connects only their own account.
When you ask for something, the assistant calls one of the server's tools and the server calls the official Threads API on your behalf. Tools that publish, reply, repost or delete act publicly, so assistants are told to show you the exact text and get your explicit confirmation first.
Your data
We store your Threads user id and username, a Threads access token encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and technical logs of which tools were called. We do not store your posts, insights or conversations with the assistant; they are fetched from Threads on demand. The service runs on Vercel and Supabase in the EU. Details are in the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
